Rev. Dr. Douglas L. Griffin ("Doug"), who came to Grace Church in October of 2010, is an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ.  He is an intentional interim minister, a specialized ministry to congregations and church-related institutions during times of transition to new leadership.  Grace Church is the ninth interim ministry setting for Doug since he began working in this specialty area in 1994.  Four of those settings, including Grace Church, have been in Frederick County.
Following graduation from seminary in 1979, Doug pursued certification as a clinical chaplain and spent over a decade in health care chaplaincy.  He served as a chaplain in both hospital and retirement community settings.  In 1993, Doug earned a Ph.D. degree from The Catholic University of America in Religion and Culture.  His major concentration was in the field of Religion and Health Care.
He resides in Germantown, Maryland, with his wife Susan Frey.

Our caretaker, Tom, spends more time in the church building than anyone else.  He is responsible for opening and closing the building for all meetings and events.  He cleans up after fellowship events and weddings, and does many odd jobs around the church.
