Worship Schedule		Upcoming Events
May 4th SEVENTH SUNDAY IN EASTERTIDE. We will begin the month with a service of Holy Communion. Pastor Spruill will bring the morning message "Guidance and Protection" based on John 17:1-11. The scripture reader will be Earl Bartgis. May 11th PENTECOST SUNDAY. We will celebrate the Festival of the Christian Home. It is also Mother's Day. We will share in the RITE OF CONFIRMATION and members of the class will distribute Holy Communion. Pastor Chris will share some words for our newest members. This is also the Sunday we will receive the UCC offering "Strengthen the Church" and the Mother's Day offering for Homewood at Crumland Farms. May 18th TRINITY SUNDAY. Pastor Foster will use II Corinthians 13:11-13 as his text for the sermon entitled "Live in Peace." Along with our offerings, we will dedicate our 'Grace Groceries' for the Frederick Food Pantry. The scripture reader will be Vonnie Crum. May 25th SECOND SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST. Memorial Day Weekend. Pastor Foster will lead us through Matthew 6:24-34 and his sermon entitled "Seeking God's Way." We will conclude with prayers for Healing and Reconciliation. The scripture reader will be Richelle Harris.		May 7th WOMEN OF GRACE MISSION DINNER - 6:30 PM. Pastor Foster and others will share their reflections on mission work done overseas in recent months. The Women of Grace will host dinner followed by the reflection time. Mary 17th HABITAT FOR HUMANITY WORKCAMP YARD SALE - 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The Fosters (361 Catoctin Avenue) once again host the yard sale to make money for the Habitat work camp in June. Come and buy a treasure ro plan on providing some donated items. Contact Pastor Joe if you have items for sale (please price them, if possible). May 18th SPRING CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING - Following worship. Members of Consistory and Trustees as well as all staff, chairs of committees and heads of boards are expected to attend this meeting to discuss our leadership responsibilities surrounding the goals and objectives of the Task Force recommendations and we will share in a leadership retreat time.
